He has held senior leadership positions across financial services, insurance, travel, and consumer technology, including Citi, Lazard, Credit Suisse, and Barclays. Andrew often shares practical perspectives and lessons learned through his [Practical Data and Practical AI](https://www.maoperatingsystem.com/articles/all?hsLang=en) article series, exploring how organizations can get greater business value from their information and technology investments. ## Selected Executive Advisory Experience Andrew has worked with organizations of different sizes and growth stages, providing strategic advice, hands-on leadership, and practical execution to improve business performance. - **Improving data quality and business decision-making:** Designed and launched Chief Data and Analytics Office functions, helping organizations improve confidence in their information and expand their use of advanced analytics and AI. - **Accelerating delivery of business information:** Led the transition from fragmented, use-case-driven data management to enterprise-wide approaches built around consistent, reusable data products, reducing the time required to deliver new business analytics. - **Improving technology performance and operating efficiency:** As an interim CIO, restructured technology, infrastructure, DevOps, and quality functions to improve reliability, scalability, and operating costs. - **Strengthening security and managing business risk:** As a CISO, led the transformation of security operations, technology, staffing, and risk management capabilities. - **Supporting technology investment and sourcing decisions:** Evaluated reference data outsourcing options for AI SaaS businesses and coordinated end-to-end architecture and stability reviews for a major financial services outsourcing provider. - **Advising growing technology businesses:** Provides board-level advice to SaaS and AI companies on technology strategy, operational capabilities, and growth. ## Previous Experience Andrew has held senior technology and data leadership positions at Citi, Lazard, Credit Suisse, Barclays, and Lehman Brothers, delivering large-scale business transformation, technology modernization, and enterprise data initiatives across global financial services. At Lazard, he led technology for the M&A advisory business, improving productivity and collaboration through modernized business applications and knowledge management. At Citi, he led major operational transformations, including 25% improvements in account opening times, 45% in quality, and 90% in throughput. His earlier work at Credit Suisse and Barclays focused on enterprise data management and complex business integration, including integrating Lehman Brothers' securities, client, and account data services. ## Education & Background Andrew holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and Master's degrees in Engineering and Arts from the University of Cambridge. Originally from England, Andrew moved to New York in 2004 on a one-year assignment and never left.
